I'm Mike, a multidisciplinary artist based in Denver, Colorado.

I enjoy working across mediums such as painting, sculpture, design, installation and performance art. My goal is to infuse daily life with objects and spaces that are meaningful and beautiful.

 

My current work explores the queer experience through a style that's part whimsy, part graphic line work, rendered in rich earth tones with a lot of storytelling woven in.

 

I'm drawn to duality such as nature against man-made materials, ego vs alter ego (Cosmo), feminine against masculine, structure against something wilder and stranger. I grew up in the city, and that tension between concrete and green space has stuck with me ever since.

 

I'm a gay man who loves his queer community deeply, and loves nature just as much and my work lives in that in-between space, where those things meet and somehow make sense together.​
